Woke up to the most breathtaking view of the Rhine from the balcony. Our Junior Suite was spacious, featuring a comfortable sofa, flat-screen TV, and a minibar stocked with drinks. The bathroom was luxurious with free toiletries and a walk-in shower. Breakfast was next level, with fresh pastries and organic juices. Also loved the gardens – so beautiful and peaceful.

My recent stay at Burghotel Auf Schoenburg was exceptional. The unique charm of the castle and stunning views over the Rhine were captivating. I stayed in a spacious Junior Suite that featured modern amenities seamlessly integrated into the historical décor. The staff provided outstanding service, quickly responding to requests and offering a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The included breakfast showcased an impressive array of high-quality options, including freshly baked pastries and organic selections.

The location offers incredible river views, enhancing the castle atmosphere. Exploring the castle and its spiral staircases becomes an adventure, while the expansive grounds provide a unique hiking access right outside the door, making it easy to enjoy the surrounding beauty.

Guest rooms vary considerably in size. for example, the room designed for three has a cramped cubby suitable only for a child, not an adult. The many steep stairs can be challenging, especially after a long day of exploration or for those with mobility issues. Additionally, it’s worth noting that some dinner menu options lack variety, and dining can be limited on certain days due to restaurant closures.
